4 days double gorilla safari in Rwanda offers tourists an opportunity to go gorilla tracking in Volcanoes national park twice. With double gorilla tours, you the the freedom to visit 2 different gorilla families both offering a unique kind of terrain and varying characteristics of families. Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes is a well managed conservation project for the mountain gorillas, with a set of rules set to protect the endangered species.


Day 1: Early drive to Volcanoes national park to catch briefing by 7:00 am in Kinigi – Mountain Gorilla Trek

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable Forest national park

Day 3: Bwindi Mountain Gorillas and Batwa Pygmies

Day 4: Return to Kigali and Departure

Day 1: Mountain Gorilla Trek
This tour starts with an early morning pickup by our company representative from either a hotel / Kigali International Airport for a transfer to Volcanoes National Park, Musanze province.
Reaching the Kinigi Park Offices by 7:00 AM just in time for the morning briefing on the code of conduct when trekking for the mountain gorillas. After locating the creatures, take clear observation of their behavior while taking photographs and videos for this wonderful encounter. Later retrieve the starting point; meet up with your guide for drop off at your lodge.
After Lunch, step out for a visit to the Iby’wacu Cultural Village where you will learn more about the Rwandan cultural practices.
Later; Dine and rest for overnight at The Garden Place (Budget), Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge/ Davinci Gorilla Lodge (Midrange) and Mountain Gorilla View Lodge/ Five Volcanoes Gorilla Lodge (Luxury)

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Forest NP
After morning breakfast, you will hit the road for your transfer to Bwindi Forest NP, Uganda.
On arrival, proceed with an amazing canoe ride on Lake Mutanda and later, Dine and rest at Travan Trekkers / Bwindi Haven Lodge(Budget), Bwindi Jungle Lodge/ Bakiga Lodge(Midrange) and Chameleon Hill/ Gorilla Mist Lodge(Luxury).

Day 3: Bwindi Mountain Gorillas and Batwa Pygmies
Rise early, enjoy breakfast and proceed to the Bwindi Park offices by 7:00AM; just in time for the morning briefing on the code of conduct when trekking for the mountain gorillas. After locating the creatures, take clear observation of their behavior while taking photographs and videos for this wonderful encounter. Later retrieve the starting point; meet up your guide for a drive back to your lodge.
In the evening, step out for a visit to the Batwa Pygmies’ Community where you will learn more about their cultural practices.
Dine and rest at Travan Trekkers / Bwindi Haven Lodge (Budget), Bwindi Jungle Lodge/ Bakiga Lodge (Midrange) and Chameleon Hill/ Gorilla Mist Lodge (Luxury).

Day 4: Return to Kigali and Departure
Upon rising; have breakfast and later set off for Kigali for drop off at either a hotel or Kigali International Airport.
However, with an early arrival, you may engage in a Kigali City Tour to visit the Gisozi Genocide memorial Site (with the remains of the 1994, Rwanda Genocide out Break), some big market centers like Kimilonko and several craft shops and stores
