If you are in Kampala, tourists can reach Ssese island via a ferry from Nakiwogo landing site which sets off for Kalangala district at 2:00 pm and arrive in Kalangala by 6:OO PM

Day 1: Take a Ferry to Sesse Island
If starting your tour from Kigali, you will cross the border into Uganda and drive via Mbarara to Masaka driving to Bukakata landing site where you will board a 30 minutes ferry and arrive at Luuku site Kalangala district and drive to Brovad sands lodge.

Day 2: Ssese Island tour
You will have a late breakfast with a relaxed morning and speed the rest of the day relaxing along the white sand of Ssese island. You may explore the forest with great birding opportunities, view monkeys. Have lunch and in the evening have a boat rise along lake Victoria.
Dinner and overnight at Brovad sands Lodge

Day 3: Departure
Today, the ferry sets off by 7:00 am if returning back to Nakiwogo Entebbe, while if returning back to Masaka the ferry sets off by 2 pm. 30 minutes back to Bukakata and drive back to Kigali with drop off at your hotel.

The sabyinyo volcano offers a challenging hike to the top owing to its ragged nature, recommended only for experienced hikers. Done in Mgahinga national park,the hike is well managed guided by rangers escorted by armed guards. The hike takes unto 8 – 10 hours depending on the groups’ fitness.
